A branch manager of a new generation commercial bank(name withheld) has escaped abduction in Aba, Abia state.
247ureports.com gathered that the gunmen stormed the residence of the banker around 11pm and started banging at the door.
According to sources, when the banker who manages the Ariaria branch of his bank discovered that the unwanted visitors have started to make moves to find their way into his house, he jumped down from his storey building and broke his leg in the process.
The situation attracted the shout of some vigilante men in the area leading to the gunmen taking to their heels.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abia State Command, ASP Geoffrey Ogbonna could not be reached for comments, but a senior police officer who spoke under anonymity confirmed the incident.
