Bishop Dr. Emeka Nwankpa of the Chapel of Faith Assembly International, yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra State, demanded for the arrest of terrorism sponsors just as he congratulated the Federal Government for “swallowing her pride” and seeking the assistance of the super powers in rescuing the abducted Chibok girls.

Fielding questions from newsmen, Bishop Nwankpa however admitted that the Federal Government is sluggish in her approach to the rescue of the girls, but admonished the diplomatic steps so far taken in rescuing the girls who have now spent a month in the captivity of Boko Haram insurgents.

The fiery cleric who frowned at the surge in corruption and ineptitude of the Federal Government on serious national issues, however, hailed the United States, France, Israel and other western powers for accepting to assist in locating and rescuing the Chibok School girls and charged the affected countries and the United Nations to beam their search light on the sponsors of Boko Haram activities in the country.

According to him, the activities of these countries in Nigeria should not only be restricted to rescuing the girls, but as well investigate and arrest the sponsors and all those found to be collaborating with Boko Haram in their monstrous activities.

In his words, “the western countries led by the United States of America should please, extend their tentacles on the sponsors of Boko Haram after rescuing these girls. If not their atrocious activities would continue when they leave. The government of Nigeria seems incapable of fighting the battle because of bad politics and corruption. The world is watching the super powers and the United Nations on the outcome of this Nigeria’s mission” he lamented.

He, however, advised the citizens to shun partisan politics and work towards eradicating terrorism from the country.
