HELD AT THE DOVE HOUSE, LIFE CAMP, ABUJA ON THURSDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER, 2013.
Today, our great party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is carrying out a historic, memorable and epoch-making event as the party’s leadership presents its Certificate of Return to the Winner of our Anambra State Governorship election primary, our distinguished flag bearer and next Governor of Anambra State, Prince Leonard Uchendu.
Prince Uchendu is a worthy Ambassador of our great party and the most qualified Governorship candidate for the 16th November, 2013 election in Anambra State.
An astute politician and man of the people, Prince Uchendu is the President- General of Umuawulu Town in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State. He is a grassroots politician who knows the heartbeats of the good people of Anambra State who have suffered unjustly due to poor leadership by previous governments of the state.
He is on a rescue mission to save Anambrarians from political jobbers and buccaneers masquerading as democrats to hoodwink the unsuspected electorate into voting them to power with a hidden agenda of looting the State treasury.
For long, Anambraians have been denied adequate democracy dividends that would have raised their standard of living. The suffering of the good people of Anambra state will end with a New Nigeria Peoples Party Government on March 17 2014, when Prince Leonard Uchendu will take over from Governor Peter Obi as the new Governor of Anambra State.
As a mass movement, NNPP has the best people-orientated manifesto in Nigeria. The party’s blueprint for the transformation, development and advancement of Anambra State will be unveiled soon.
Suffice it to say that an NNPP Government in collaboration with the hardworking people of the state will accelerate the industrialization of Anambra state turning it to the Dubai of Africa. Accordingly, there will be massive development of the state’s infrastructure to meet international standards.
Construction and maintenance of roads in the state will be a priority. Adequate power supply, healthcare, water, education, women and youth empowerment, employment opportunities, Agriculture, civil service reform including pension, dredging of River Niger, the sea port and transportation along with the completion of the second Niger bridge in collaboration with the Federal Government will be the priority of a New Nigeria Peoples Party Government in Anambra State on March 17, 2014. More importantly, adequate security will be provided to check the menace of kidnapping, armed robbery etc. Accordingly, our gallant security agents will be well equipped to protect lives and property in the state which is the primary purpose of government.
A blueprint for integrated development of Anambra state has been produced and will be made available to the public shortly.
We urge the good people of Anambra State to support and vote for the NNPP Governorship candidate Prince Leonard Uchendu, a man of indefatigable endeavour, endowed with political savvy and sagacity to transform the state.
Prince Uchendu is the change agent Anambrarians desired to govern and industrialize the state and restore the pride and dignity of the citizenry who are being molested, harassed and deported from Lagos state in the most callous and inhuman manner. A New Nigeria Peoples Party Government will put a stop to this dastardly act by providing adequate employment to our youths.
NNPP commends INEC for liberalizing the political space by registering new political parties. We urge politicians to imbibe issue-based politics and eschew do-or-die politics that has impeded our democratic process. We enjoin INEC to provide a level playing field for all political parties and sanction any political party or politician that violates the law to serve as a deterrent to others.
We urge Anambrarians to be vigilant and resist rigging in all its ramifications. Every vote must count and be counted in the forthcoming governorship election. The people’s choice must be respected. This is the essence of democracy.
NNPP urges the Federal Government to intensify efforts in tackling the security situation in the country as security and welfare of the people is the essence of government in tandem with section 14 2(b) of the 1999 constitution (as amended).
The EFCC and ICPC should sit up and fight corruption that has eaten deep into our body politic and prosecute all those that looted our common patrimony.
NNPP reaffirms its confidence in the Judiciary as the last hope of all aggrieved people and urge our honourable Justices to live above board and dispense justice without fear or favour as the conscience of the nation.
Our great party is ready for the Anambra Governorship election. NNPP is a party to beat. The good people of Anambra State desire and deserve a change in government. Together we shall win the 16th November gubernatorial election.
Support NNPP. Vote for NNPP and its candidate Prince Leonard Uchendu, the next executive Governor of Anambra State.
