Entire PDP Executive Committee Members in Bornu Defect to APC

Despite the security challenges facing Bornu State, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state are satisfied that the All Progressive Congress (APC) led government in the state is doing its best to bring development to it, so they have decided to defect enmass to the APC as a sign of their approval.

Citing the performance of the Kashim Shettima led government as reason for their defection to APC, the PDP leaders noted that they will continue to support anything that will bring development to the state.

In a three paragraph release and signed by the 15 defectors, including State Deputy Chairman, Habu Hamman, State Secretary, Malam Gana Radu, State Women Leader, Hajia Fati Kakenna, Youth Leader, Nuhu Clark, State Treasurer,  Audu Walima, among others said, “We the Borno State Executive Committee members of People Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno State have voluntary resigned and withdraw our membership from the party and shifted our loyalty to All Progressive Congress (APC) under the leadership of the Executive Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State.”

Other officers who joined the defectors include, State organising Secretary, State Publicity, State Auditor, Assistant Organising Secretary, North, Assistant Organising Secretary, South, Assistant Secretary, Central, Assistant Publicity Secretary, and three Ex-Officios.

According to them, “We as members of the State Executive Committee of PDP decided to take such decision due to some developmental achievements carried out by the present administration that touched on the lives of the common man in the state.

“We shall continue giving our support to this administration on developmental aspect in the state. Despite all the security challenges facing the state for years we have witnessed tremendous achievements by the present administration.”
