Political observers have voiced out fears that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP may actually be toying with the ugly experience in Rivers state where Celestine OMEHIA was removed as the governor for the incumbent Rotimi AMECHI who did not stand for the election in his first term.

Because while the candidates of other parties have rolled out their campaign trains already touring and criss-crossing the state, PDP are still bandying words as to who would fly its flag at the Nov 16 election.

As at press time, situation has not changed or improved, instead it was getting worst. Whereas Tony Nwoye, Senator Andy Uba and Nicholas Ukachukwu have been booked for sanction by the party, the task of choosing a suitable and acceptable candidate for the party has not been sorted out.

The slow wheel of decision making and intervention by Aso Rock has also not really helped things in getting better.

The party chiefs were reported to be shopping for a flag bearer without any political baggage and blemish, and the trio of Uba, Nwoye and Ukachukwu did not fit the card.

Already the just elected candidates for the Labour Party and the Advanced Congress of Democrats, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah and Dr Ifeatu Ekelem respectively have already embarked on campaign tours round the state.
