PhotoNews: Chike Momah donate books to Anambra Schools

Author Chief Chike Momah, a contemporary and close friend on Chinua Achebe and Chukwuemeka Ike, who was in Nigeria for Chinua Achebe’s funeral used the occasion to present some of his books to the Anambra State school system.  The books were received  by the Hon. Commissioner for Education Dr Uju Okeke on 24 May 2013 at the Government House Awka.

Chief Momah, who is the author of six books said he wanted to contribute in any way possible to promoting the reading culture in Nigeria. Dr. Okeke similarly thanked the author for his altruism, which she assured him will go a long way in promoting the reading culture in Anambra State schools.  Like Achebe, and Vincent Ike, Chief Momah is a product of Government College Umuahia and University College, Ibadan. He is a retired United Nations official.
