  1. A most welcome development. My pet project…Nollywood, as a performance center, just like Hollywood, should be domiciled in our region because of the preponderance of major players in the industry coming from the region. This is a project that the South-East, as a zone, should invest in. Thank you, Governor Okorocha for taking the bull by the horn. What is needed for proper implementation of the Nollywood project is not the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, but a special commission or agency like the Owerri Capital Development Agency (OCDA), equipped with the necessary personnel–land/town development experts, town planners, architects, engineers, film producers/directors, etc-to produce designs for film/movie studios appropriate for the dream project. Local government Councils must build structures based on designs and plans drawn up by the team of experts…not haphazard buildings that have no relevance to the overall project. To make any sense of this wonderful project proposal, there must be proper planning and knowledgeable input by people who know. Let us make a difference.
