All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Prof. Dora Akunyili, has vehemently denied the allegation by a phantom “Citizen Reporter” and published by 247Ureports.com.
Akunyili described the report entitled “Prof Dora Akunyili’s N50M Bribe To The Appeal Court” as the product of a sick mind.
Responding on behalf of her boss, Mr. Isaac Umunna, Special Assistant on Media to Prof. Akunyili, described the report as “unprofessional and borne out of an ulterior motive.” He faulted the claim by 247Ureports that neither he nor Akunyili responded to the text message sent by the Publisher, Mr. Ikenna Ellis-Ezenekwe.
According to Umunna in a reply addressed to Ezenekwe: “For the avoidance of doubt, I replied your sms on behalf of Prof. Akunyili, against whom you have for long waged a relentless and unjustified war for reasons best known to you, but you deliberately refused to reflect our response.
“This is a vexatious and ridiculous allegation by those afraid of losing the case and desperate to discredit Nigeria’s Judiciary. It’s a figment of the imagination of a sick mind. Dora doesn’t have that kind of money. Even if she does, she wouldn’t use it to bribe anybody. It is highly regrettable and unfortunate that Dora’s opponents have resorted to cheap blackmail.’ ”

SA Media to Dora Akunyili.
Dear Mr. Ikenna Ellis-Ezenekwe, I must agree with the Akunyili camp that you have an axe to grind with APGA in Anambra State. Your write ups have been so very baised and so unprofessional that those of us that read your online paper though not from your state are begining to wonder if your not a hired gun. Initially when you started as Ukpaka reports we all hailed your determination to call them as you see them especially those of us outside Nigeria. In recent times though you have rubbished the ethics governing your profession, attacking your governor, Dora and Umeh to mention but a few has shown some of us that your incapable of being an independent observer. Its your right to belong to any party of your choice but dismanting falsehood against people is not your right irrespective of who pays you to do so. Some of us thoght of asking you to keynote a forum here in the United States early next year but you have taken your self out with uncollaborated BS that you have resorted to in recent time. To destroy your fellow igbo man is not the way to get ahead. You have thrown jornalistic intergrity to the dogs. Finally its not too late to retrace your steps and go back to what endered you to many in the past. A stitch on time saves nine. For the purpose of full disclosure I do not belong to any party niether do I come from Anambra State so you know.
