Enugu Council of NUJ to inaugurate new Executive Friday

The new Executive Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Enugu State Council led by Comrade Rex Arum, will be inaugurated on Friday, March 11, 2016 at the Press Centre, Enugu.
This contained in a statement the inauguration committee issued Wednesday and signed by its chairman, Comr. Tony Edike.
According to the statement, the inauguration followed the successful conduct of election of new officers on February 11, this year.
The inauguration would be preceded by a prayer session to be conducted by the unions Grand Patron, Most Rev. Dr. E. O. Chukwuma, the Archbishop of the Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Anglican Communion.
According to committee, the prayer session would be followed by an inauguration lecture to be delivered by Senator Chukwuka Utazi, representing Enugu North senatorial zone of Enugu state in the National Assembly.
“Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State will be the Special Guest of Honour at the inauguration.
“Other guests expected at the event are Governors Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State; Willie Obiano of Anambra State, Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State and Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
The Royal Father of the Day will be His Majesty, Igwe Emma Ugwu of Ibeagwa Nike.
The inauguration of the new Executive Committee marks the turning-point in the affairs of the NUJ, Enugu State Council, the flagship of journalism profession in South East geo-political zone.
