MAKURDI, Nigeria — Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, has urged residents across North Central Nigeria to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during an appearance on TVC News, Kula framed the president’s re-election as essential for sustaining the federal government’s Renewed Hope agenda. He argued that ongoing national economic reforms are critical to securing long-term regional stability and economic growth. Kula’s call follows the North Central All Progressives Congress caucus officially endorsing President Tinubu as its sole presidential candidate for the upcoming election cycle.

Kula credited the close working relationship between Benue State and the federal government for driving recent development across the state. He explained that federal macroeconomic policies and increased resource allocations have strengthened Governor Alia’s local priorities, particularly in agricultural revitalization, healthcare restructuring, and civil service welfare.

Highlighting the state’s industrialization drive, Kula pointed to the revival of dormant state assets such as the Benue Brewery, the Bensono Orange Juice Company, and Taraku Mills. He also noted new commercial initiatives launched through the Benue Investment and Property Company, which include the local production of staple goods and building materials. According to Kula, these results stem from careful financial management and disciplined spending by the state administration.

Turning to infrastructure, the press secretary pointed to urban renewal projects and an ambitious road construction campaign that aims to deliver three new township roads in each of the state’s 23 local government areas. He concluded by emphasizing the governor’s ongoing commitment to workers and pensioners, calling on voters in Benue and the wider North Central region to back both Governor Alia and President Tinubu in 2027 as the surest route to sustained growth.
