Throughout election day, multiple reports emerged across media channels detailing logistical challenges and security incidents in several localities. Reports indicated significant disruptions at select polling units, including incidents where election officials were forced to flee voting areas amid destruction of electoral materials and damage to nearby vehicles.
In parallel, high-profile security standoffs drew public attention across the state. Reports emerged that security personnel deployed to Osogbo established a perimeter around the residence of the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, restricting movement in and out of the compound.
