AWKA / AGULUZIGBO — The Anambra State Police Command has arraigned a 45-year-old former local security agent, Ikenna Mojekwu (also reported as Muojekwe), before the Gender Magistrate Court in Awka over charges of incest and sexual abuse involving his underage daughter.
The suspect, who hails from Udoana village in Aguluzigbo, Anaocha Local Government Area, was apprehended following a viral video confession detailing instances of unlawful sexual relations with his daughter at their residence.
Details of the Confession & Investigation
According to field reports and police briefings, the suspect—a former operative attached to a local vigilance organization (Udogachi)—admitted to having sexual intercourse with his minor daughter on multiple occasions:
- Admitted Abuse: The suspect confessed on video to engaging in unlawful sexual acts with the minor, claiming the encounters were consensual—a defense flatly rejected under law given the victim’s age.
- Pregnancy Dispute: Following revelations that the minor is currently pregnant, Mojekwu denied paternity, alleging that the victim was also involved with a peer.
- Family Context: The suspect, who lives apart from his wife, reportedly resigned from his security post following his father’s passing prior to the incident.
