ASABA — The Delta State Government has ordered the immediate and indefinite suspension of the State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Izeze Reuben.
The suspension was announced in an official government statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu.
According to the state government, the executive decision was taken to pave the way for security agencies to conduct an unhindered and impartial investigation into allegations linking the suspended commissioner to a recent violent assault on the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Protocol, Mr. Simon Mudi, popularly known as “Temple.”
The alleged assault took place on the premises of the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
The state government emphasized that the indefinite suspension takes immediate effect, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining law and order, discipline among executive council members, and ensuring that thorough investigative procedures are carried out by law enforcement authorities without official interference.
