Delta Govt Suspends Works Commissioner Izeze Reuben Indefinitely Over Alleged Assault of Governor’s Aide

ASABA — The Delta State Government has ordered the immediate and indefinite suspension of the State Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Comrade Izeze Reuben.

The suspension was announced in an official government statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu.

According to the state government, the executive decision was taken to pave the way for security agencies to conduct an unhindered and impartial investigation into allegations linking the suspended commissioner to a recent violent assault on the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Protocol, Mr. Simon Mudi, popularly known as “Temple.”

The alleged assault took place on the premises of the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
