The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Assembly Aspirant for Awka South Constituency II in Anambra State, Evangelist Chinedu Raymond Obue (Nwachinemelu) has raised alarm on alleged conspiracies targeted at sabotaging his victory at the party primaries last weekend by yet to be identified tycoons supporting his opponent who lost in the election.
He appealed to the Presidential candidate of NDC, Mr. Peter Obi; National Chairman of NDC, Sen. Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe; the Founder of NDC, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, among other party leaders at all levels to intervene and uphold his mandate and primary election victory that is being threatened.
He appealed to lovers of democracy in the party to ensure that nothing happens to the mandate given to him by his people in a primary election that was free, fair, and transparent, with INEC officials and DSS present to observe.
He informed that the result was duly signed by the Election Committee Chairman for Awka South L.G.A., Engr. Prof. Paul Okolie, and video evidence confirms its credibility.
He said he polled 625 votes to defeat his opponent, Sam Chuks Ọkpanduka, who got 73 votes.

Evangelist Obue also wrote a heartfelt petition to the Appeal Panel of the NDC at Abuja on the outcome of the Awka South Constituency primary election, expecting intervention in the face of threatening injustice.
In a Facebook post by the candidate tagged “NDC SHOULD NOT CHANGE MY RESULT!!!”, Evangelist Obue published the authentic result sheet made available to them at the venue by the officials who conducted the primary election.
The Facebook post accompanying the result read thus:
“Ndì Obizì, Awka South Constituency II, as we await the official announcement of the NIGERIA DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC) Primary election held on May 29, 2026, it is important to relate to you, my people that this is the authentic result of the primary election held at Umuzocha Hall, Awka:
