A yet-to-be-identified man has reportedly been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen in Anambra State, marking the first case of kidnap recorded in the state in the month of November.

The kidnap incident, which reportedly happened on Sunday at Alor community in Idemili South Local Government Area of the State, was said to have occurred at about 6:47pm.

This was corroborated by a video currently trending on social media, showing a vehicle abandoned on the road side, which was said to belong to the victim, inside which he was cruising before his abductors stormed.

As was shown in the video, the vehicle, with the plate number: EKY-102GK, also has some blood stains on it different parts of it, which some eyewitnesses in the background of the video said was the blood of the victim.

The unidentified eyewitnesses also attested that the victim was severely injured and bundled into the boot of the kidnappers’ vehicle before they zoomed off with him to an unknown destination.

Efforts by this reporter, Izunna Okafor, to get the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, to confirm or react to the incident proved abortive, as he was yet to respond to the message of inquiry sent to him, as at the time of this publication.
