A self-confessed criminal, identified as Sunday Chukwunweke, has given a revealing narrative about his life journey as a criminal.
Mr. Chukwunweke, who said he hails from Okpoto in Ebonyi State but resident in Anambra State, made the confession in a video that has gone viral on social media where he was being interrogated by an undisclosed security official from the Special Squad Ifitedunu, whom he confessed arrested him after a robbery incident in the community.
The suspect recounted how he learnt robbery from his master, one Chukwunonso Okafor (Ezedibia), whom, he said, was eventually captured, while he himself bought his own cutter for breaking into locked shops, and continued as a one-man squad before he finally met his new six-man gang.
According to him, he was going with a tricycle before, but, with his gang members, he now goes with a shuttle bus, with which they pack the wares in every shop they rob.
He also revealed how they usually send informants and give him a token of money to go and survey shops for them, find out their worth, and then bring them feedback, to know which shops would be their next target.
While recounting the various places and shops they have gone for robbery, what they stole from there, and where they sold them; Mr. Chukwunweke, who said they usually go for ‘operation’ between 1AM and 2AM, further emphatically alleged that majority of his people living in Anambra State are into robbery, and have nothing else doing in the state.
