Neymar will be 34 by the time the next World Cup kicks off in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America.

โ€œNow heโ€™s sad and thatโ€™s okay, but he is still young. At the age of 31 he can still easily play in the next World Cup,โ€ Ronaldo told Globo.

โ€˜He is very popular in Brazil right now because he identifies so well with his national team.

โ€œAgainst Croatia, he was a top-quality player and he remains an important part of the national team,โ€ Ronaldo, a World Cup winner with the Selecao said, adding that the PSG star will come back stronger.

Ronaldo has spoken on Neymarโ€™s future in the Brazil national team amid rumours of the Paris Saint-Germain starโ€™s retirement.

The 30-year-old PSG forward hinted that he might draw the curtain on his international football following Brazilโ€™s elimination from the World Cup in the quarter-finals.

But Brazil legend Ronaldo de Lima does not believe that would be a wise move for the 30-year-old to dump the national team.
