The founder/leader of Biafra Independence Movement/Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (BIM-MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has insisted that his organisation is only interested in Biafra actualization and not Nigeria President of Igbo extraction or Nigeria youths.
Uwazuruike stated this while reacting to a statement credited to his former Director of Information, Comrade Uchenna Madu who claimed to have represented MASSOB in the recent Cancerous Meeting of Vanguards of One Nigeria Project Held in Enugu.
Uwazuruike who insisted that the said Uchenna Madu was expelled from BIM/MASSOB since August 30, 2014 due to anti MASSOB activities noted that since then, Madu and his sacked cohorts are still parading themselves as MASSOB members and at the same time, hobnobbing with politicians for self aggrandizement.
In a statement signed yesterday by his Special Assistant on Social Media Matters, Comrade Emma N. Nnadi and made available to newsmen via e-mail, Uwazuruike noted that Uchenna Madu is now a full-fledged member of IPOB and his acclaimed faction of MASSOB is just a wing of IPOB which does not have anything to do with Biafra actualization project.
The statement read in parts: “Our attention has been drawn to the communiqué involving MASSOB with South East Governors in a meeting at Enugu on October 30, 2020. concerning Nigeria presidency of Igbo extraction and Igbo youths agenda where one Mr. Uchenna Madu was masqueraded as MASSOB leader.
“BIM-MASSOB wants to use this medium to inform the general public that we are not part of the meeting whatsoever involving Nigeria youths or Igbo presidency agenda, and we dissociate ourselves from such a cancerous gathering of vanguards of one Nigeria project and also asking the general public to disregard such a meeting for it’s all fake”.
“BIM-MASSOB is only interested in Biafra and can never compromise that for any reason not even the president of Igbo extraction or restructuring. Uchenna Madu is a branch of IPOB and is being used to dismantle BIM-MASSOB the way IPOB is being used by one Nigeria apologist like Igbo Politicians”.
Uwazuruike who has a chieftaincy title of Ijele Ndigbo, wondered how a man who is over 50 of age will be addressed as a Youth; stressing that Uchenna Madu is over 50 years and such person should never be addressed as a Youth.
Also addressed as Ezeigbo Gburugburu II, Uwazuruike maintained that such meeting was a hoax, as the tendency was to divide and distract determined Biafrans in their effective efforts to actualize the Sovereign State of Biafra in no distance time.
Uwazuruike enjoined the general public to disregard the meeting and insisted that it was a calculated attempt by the enemies of Biafra using the enemies within to destabilize and truncate the achievements made by BIM-MASSOB and other genuine Pro-Biafra groups.
