A Chieftain of the Peopleโs Democratic Party PDP, Mallam Bibi Dogo has charged the Federal House of Representatives seat of Bogoro, Dass, Tafawa Balewa vacant due to the defection of Former Speaker Yakubu Dogara from PDP to APC without any cogent reason.
Dogo stated this in a statement he issued in Bauchi today Sunday, He said the defection of Dogara is Political indiscipline and that the people of Bogoro , Dass and Tafawa Balewa who elected him under the flat form of PDP were no longer comfortable being โtotally eclipsedโ in the House. They donโt know any convincing reason why he defect to APC , he didnโt consult them before his defectionโI hereby call on the Reps leadership to quickly declare Dogaraโs seat vacant to enable the constituents to elect a capable replacement,โ he said.
He said that the People of the area would set a machinery in motion for Dogaraโs recall and that the process would soon commence in earnest because we will not condone political indisciplineโ.
Dogo expressed disbelief that the reasoms given by Yakubu Dogara in a letter sent to his ward chairman are nothing but flimsy excuses, because the Governor the alleged money is 3.6 not 4.6 and a contract was awarded for the purchase of Vehicles and Dogara is one of the beneficiary of the vehicles, it wa Covid 19 that delayed the state Local Government presently a Date was fixed by the State independent Electoral Commision it will be conducted inOctober. And everybody knows Governor who came from a royal family has great respect to traditional institutions ,
He said it was a shameful act for Dogara who dump APC in 2019 elections, could โso quickly return to pick the same broom he said was not sweeping wellโ.
Dogo alleged that there were talks from many quarters Dogaraโs return to APC was initiated to cover himself from the mess of NDDC that is now booming .
He alleged that Dogara had made three defections in recent times, having moved from PDP to APC ahead of the 2015 general elections and now he moved again from APC to PDP ahead of 2019 general election and now he moved from PDP to APC.
Dogo said โHis jumping from party to party smacks of political indiscipline but you know that a rolling stone gathers no moss.
โUnfortunately, too, he lacks the political discipline to be trusted with any public office in Bogoro , Dass , Tafawa Balewa, How can you trust a man whose only political antecedent is jumping from one party to another?โ
