Rivers Police Rearrests Escaped Child Killer


The Rivers state police command has paraded the suspected ritualist Ifeanyi Dike who escaped from police three weeks ago after killing his niece.

The Rivers state commissioner of police Zaki Ahmed while parading the runaway suspected ritualist before journalists today said his rearrest was made possible through support and prayers from Nigerians.

Zaki Ahmed assured that justice will prevail on the murder case.

The Rivers state commissioner of police Zaki Ahmed said the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idriss is pleased with the feat of the Rivers state command in re-arresting the runaway suspected ritualist.

247ureports.com gathered that the suspected ritualist Ifeanyi Dike was brought to the police headquarters in Moscow road by the deputy commissioner of police in charge of state CID DCP Felix Vwamhi.

Meanwhile, the re-arrested suspected ritualist Ifeanyi Dike has clarified that nobody aided his escape from the police custody.

Ifeanyi Dike told journalists that he escaped when he was ordered to enter the prison shortly after he made his confessional statement .

The father of the 8 year old girl that was killed Enest Mmezue applauded the police for the re-arrest of Ifeanyi Dike. Enest Mmezue said all he wants from the matter is justice.
