Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that the former Central Bank of Nigeria [CBN] Governor in the person of Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo has decided to throw his weight behind the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano against the upcoming gubernatorial elections of November 18, 2017.
It is expected the former CBN governor will make his endorsement public in the coming days. The incumbent governor will go against gubernatorial candidates under the political parties of PDP, APC and UPP.
Prof. Soludo had recently demanded for the release of the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. He made the demand under the auspices of ‘Nzuko Umunna’. Many within the Nigerian political specter, as a result, have begun to see the former CBN Governor as the new face of the Igbo struggle.
