Information reaching 247ureports.com from a competent source within the close circles of the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru El- Rufai indicate all might not be well with the Kaduna State Government. This is following a closed door meeting held today [February 16, 2017] at the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja where the Governor marshalled out threats to the federal lawmakers representing constituencies within Kaduna State.

According to the information gathered, Governor Elrufai had called for a meeting with the National Assembly members representing Kaduna State. The meeting was called at the Governor’s lodge. At the meeting the Governor told the lawmakers he intends not to conduct the Local Government Area [LGA] elections as promised. He told them “he is not going to obey court order to conduct local government elections”. He made it clear he was going ahead with maintaining his care taker arrangement – where his care taker administrators will stay put till March 2017 – when he will appoint new set of civil servants to take over from the existing administrators.

The Governor then cautioned the lawmakers to stay inline or face his wrath.  He offered to give the lawmakers slots to submit names of their choice civil servants to mount the position of care taker administrators.

As 247ureports.com gathered, all the federal lawmakers were in attendance except two Senators – Shehu Sani and Danjuma Laah. They were both not invited. Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi was present but stayed mute.

The embattled Governor also extended his threats to the Christian community. He assured the lawmakers that he will arrest and prosecute political and Christian activists from southern Kaduna who dare resist his move to disobey Court Orders, or tell the people of southern Kaduna to stand up for their rights. “He said this while pounding angrily on the table”, explained a source who was present at the meeting.
