Operatives of the New Haven Division of the Nigeria Police Enugu state command Sunday arrested a suspected car theft kingpin.
The Ikechukwu Isaiah was said to have specialized in stealing of car from where it is parked with what he described as ‘try your luck key’ within Enugu and its environs.
The suspect who hails from Umuobiala Isiukkwuato in Abia state but residing at New Nyanya and New Karu Nassarawa state has been a habitual car theft with ‘try your luck key’.
Confirming the arrested, the state police public relations officer, Sp Ebere Amaraizu disclosed that the suspect on August, 2016 at 8 hours axis of Otigba junction stolen a Toyota Camry from where it was packed.
It was gathered that the suspect had allegedly came in from Nassarawa state and stopped at Otigba junction at the early hours of the morning on the day of his arrival and allegedly stole the Toyota Camry model 96 custom colour with registration number BJ 697UWN which he now changed both the number and the colour before he was nabbed in Nassarawa through intelligence information.
The PPRO said the suspect will be charged to court immediately investigations are concluded as the suspect is now helping the police in their investigation in relation to his nefarious activities of car stealing.
