Following the indefinite strike action declared by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Delta State chapter on the embattled Speaker, Mr. Monday Ovwigho Igbuya and members of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) until their demands are met, the Speaker has boycotted a press briefing for a serious indoor meeting with the state governor, Mr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
Okowa who is also embattled over the Sen. Ali-Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi, over the dilemma arising from the factional crisis that has rocked the national body of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is convening stakeholders meeting across the state to sensitize party faithful.
The court has nullified the appointment of Ahmed Makarfi as Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the party.
The media chat which was scheduled for about 2:00 pm Wednesday was abruptly shifted to Thursday after sitting.
It was however, gathered that the House might not sit as the strike declared by the PASAN still stands.
At press time, the meeting between Okowa and Igbuya was still on.
