Delta 2019: Okowa Lobbies Aggrieved Party Members, From USA

Though far away in the United States of America (USA), the Delta State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is currently appealing to the conscience of wounded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members from the last ward, local government and state congresses where the governor imposed his script writers on the people.

Governor Okowa who is in the USA for a one month leave is presently using some of his aides to push his interest in the state by donating N500, 000 cash and office equipment worth millions of naira to the Aniocha North Local Government Area chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Amidst the non-payment of salaries to civil servants, Okowa Speaking on behalf of the group under the aegis of ‘Forum of Governors’ Aides’ in Aniocha North council, the state Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Development, Chief Dan Okenyi, who is been battled by a former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) and Okowa’s current Special Adviser (no portforlio).

At the occasion, Chief Okenyi, who dissuaded the masses said the action was borne out of the need to assist the party in the council to acquire a benefiting secretariat for the use of the party and to meet other administrative needs.

Others who were at the camouflage events are include Special Assistant to the Governor on Media (Electronic), Amaechi Udemba, who is Okowa’s speech carrier, Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, Senior Special Assistant, Kingsley Azuh, Senior Special Assistant on Conflict Management, Mr Uche Nwehi, Special Assistant on Community Development, Ike Uwagwu, Special Assistant on Protocol, Samuel Ifejoku and Mr Kainebe Siunoje.

Appealing to party members, who were used to rig the 2015 gubernatorial election, particularly the women and the youths to key into the state government’s job creation programme and micro credit scheme to better their lives.
