…As Delta Chapter Lunches Calendar

Ahead of the general election in Nigeria, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) said it would field a presidential candidate as the party would not throw its weight behind any other party’s candidate, the National Chairman of the party, Chief Dr. Victor Ikechukwu Oye has said.

Chief Ikechukwu Oye also disclosed that APGA would take over Delta State come 2019 following the unequivocal support the party received from the Interparty Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC) in the state.

The National Chairman stated this Wednesday when he formally lunched the Delta State 2016/2017 APGA calendar in Asaba.

Hear him, “APGA is the only political party in the country with a clear ideology”, while describing the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as dead and suffocating parties.

“When these two parties are dead, APGA will become the ultimate undertaker. God has taken over the affairs of APGA”, noting that he is not a politician that trade words with other politicians in other political parties, “I do not have any query with any political party”, he stressed.

On the current happenings in the country, the APGA leader said, “We do not have any justification to suffer in the midst of plenty and I believe because I am very hopeful, because we have four clear years for APC to remedy the situation. I pray for Buhari to succeed but I pray harder for APGA to succeed in 2019”.

According to Dr. Ikechukwu Oye, “in 2019, we are going to produce a presidential candidate. We are not going to support anybody, we have the capacity to win elections in Nigeria”, he said.

He disclosed that in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Adamawa, Bayelsa, Niger, Anambra and Abia States, APGA has its feet deeply rooted in the politics as the party has elected representatives from councillorship to the House of Representatives, “only a blind man that will not see that APGA won their stolen mandates”.

He called on party faithful to remain focus and refused to be intimidated by the APC at the central and the ruling PDP in the state.

In his speech, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Afam Enemokwu said the calendar was in response and the will of APGA members to showcase the unity, love, purposeful leadership and commitment of the party to the advancement of democracy as it was the first of its kind in the present political dispensation of the party in the state.

“This calendar has been produced to serve as a means of reaching out to the political class and the entire electorate, the need to serve the people and bring to reality the essence of politics which is service to the people, which APGA is known for”.

Hon. Enemokwu took the avenue to call on the party leadership, the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano (Bot chairman) and the Senatorial candidate of the party in Anambra West, Chief Victor Umeh among others to give their support to the noble cause in order to takeover power from the PDP come 2019, assuring that “together we will get to the promise land”.

Also speaking, the Deputy Vice Chairman, Rt. Reverend Prince Nwanchukwu assured that APGA would take over the state in 2019, adding that the structure of the party in the 25 local government councils of the state was formidable, “in 2019, we are contesting all elective positions in the state”.

He said PDP was able to rig elections in the past because the party was able to gain access to result sheets, “now in this subsequent coming elections, they will not have access to results sheets and the results will be declared raw the way it is”, adding that APGA unlike other party would not be hijacked by anybody as its members are the financials.
