*aims to make APGA 2nd largest national party

The Anambra state Gov Willie Obiano has said that with the high interests his party- the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) is attracting across the country, it is poised to become the second largest political party in Nigeria in the next six(6)months.
The governor disclosed this when he received Earl Osaro Onaiwu, an APGA aspirant in the forthcoming Edo state gubernatorial election who called on him at the Governor’s Lodge, Awka today.
Receiving the Edo APGA delegation, Gov Obiano said that through the quality leadership APGA has availed Ndi Anambra, it has proved to be the solution to the nation’s political woes, hence the interests it is eliciting across the country.
He revealed that under his watch, the party has grown to become the third largest political party in the Country, adding that what the party aims to introduce in the nation’s political sphere is a system of responsive governance anchored on providing realistic democracy dividends to the people.
He assured the APGA governorship aspirant of the party’s full support towards realization of his political ambition.
The Edo Governorship Aspirant, Earl Onaiwu explained that the visit was to formally inform the Governor of his intention to run for the elective position under APGA and to seek his support towards mobilizing people of the SouthEast who he noted, constitute 40 percent of the Edo state voting population and control the state’s economy too, to support him.
According to him, his decision to contest under the APGA platform was motivated by the exemplary performance of Governor Obiano in governance which has transformed Anambra state and the need to replicate his leadership model in Edo State.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Comrade Chinedu Obidigwe described the development as a major milestone in the Party’s efforts to expand its political frontiers, thanking Gov Obiano for giving the Party the confidence to campaign for membership through his visionary leadership.
The visiting Edo guber aspirant and members of his entourage were then decorated with the APGA uniform and rendition of APGA solidarity songs and anthem.
