Chris Anyanwu

Chris Anyanwu

The 2014 edition of Oru Owerri Cultural Festival turned sour for the member representing Owerri Senatorial Zone at the Nigerian Senate, Senator Chris Anyanwu as she wept uncontrollably at the event Saturday evening following the insults meted to her by Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
The event, which held at Ugwu Ekwema Civic Centre along Egbu Road, Owerri, had the governor, his deputy and the entire state executive council with Senator Anyanwu and other aspirants like Ken Njemanze, Chief Ernest Ibejiakor, Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi representing Owerri Federal Constituency, etc, present.
Okorocha, who spoke immediately after he was officially inducted into theAzuike age-grade ( people from 50 years and above) showed the senator what he had in stock for her when he placed her last in the protocol list after the transition chairman of Owerri Municipal.
He started by telling the crowd that trooped out to the event that following his numerous achievements in the last three years in the state, time had come for them not to allow criminals to occupy leadership position anymore.
He said he had reduced traffic gridlock in the city of Owerri and had connected the Old and New Owerri with good inland roads and bridges.
The governor said those who held the state to ransom without any useful achievements in 12 years had all come out again, wanting to govern the state, a move he urged them to stop by all means.
He added that no more will 419 men and criminals be allowed to govern the state again.
Then, in an apparent reference to Senator Anyanwu who was seated after Hon. Ernest Ibejiakor near the governor, Okorocha told the crowd not to allow “a woman who slaps her husband in public to govern the state. You must not allow ono na di acho di (a married woman who has pleasure in sleeping around with other men) to govern or represent you anymore. You must not allow a slippers thrower to be your governor.
“When the time comes, we will tell you the people that will give you good governance. We will tell you the person that will be your senator; we will tell you the person that will be your House of Representatives member”
Earlier, the governor told the former Attorney General of the state and PDP governorship aspirant, Ken Njemanze (SAN) that his age grade is a retired one and that he had no business in active politics and governance.
He thanked the people of Owerri for donating lots of land for the development of the state capital, which said had now become the pride of the Eastern Heartland.
Senator Anyanwu did not know the import of the governor’s comments until he left the stage with the hundreds of supporters that trooped out to witness the occasion. It was then that the senator, who had wanted to tell the Owerri People some of her projects in the municipality, realized that her dignity had been tampered with.
She immediately rose up from her seat and started shouting to her aides “let’s go, let’s go”. As they were leaving, the senator was consoled by the member representing Owerri Federal Constituency, Ezenwa Onyewuchi and Hon. Ibejiakor. She was sited dampening tears in her eyes before entering her waiting car.

How dare he make such derogatory remarks at our distinguished Hon Senator Chris ND Anyanwu. A woman of valour. A woman that has trained and provided satisfying jobs for not less than 30,000 Imo state youths in various aspects of life.
A useless governor that has failed to conduct local govt election but gave us CGC . A governor that sacked the 10,000jobs created by another on the grounds that there are no jobs in IMO state but now created 25,000 jobs for graduates to work as vigilante in their local govt.

Chris Anyanwu distorted her political career when she dumped APGA for PDP.
oru-owerri must celebrates Okorocha who is seen as having reduced his office to become Mayor of Owerri Metropolis since he joined APC. Okorocha abandoned all other areas in Imo state outside the state capital since he joined APC. But on election day, once one of their is contesting this time, it is not likely that participants in oru-owerri may vote Okorocha.

This is unacceptable and unbecoming of a governor. These remarks only confirms that H/E Rochas is desperate but let him know that Nigerians are now more aware politically and such old-fashioned statements can never assure him a second term. He should rather focus on delivering his election promises. Information reaching my desk has it that IMO people are not satisfied with him and they are calling for a change come 2015.

Regardless of what their political diffferences may be, there should be a limit to character assassination. My God! And that was someone’s wife. For a learned governor to speak the way he did, I believe he has his facts.
presidents, governors and those in authority do not speak any how
but when they could no longer hold it and burst out they have their facts. They have information which the commoners don’t have.
    The elite know themselves.
I am not a fan of Rochas and I do not live in Imo state but Rochas is very intelligent, outstanding in achievements and a political heavy weight who understands that words are powerful and have consequences.
so the words of Rochas Okoroacha should not be taken as an idle tale.
Thank God, the elite are now washing their dirty linings outside and exposing themselves.
God is doing marvellous things in Nigeria, more exposures are on the way coming.

I was personally at the event but I didn’t hear gov okorocha called sen anyanwu a husband slapper or a prostitute but he said a husband slapper and a prostitute should not be voted to rule imo. The question is, do we intend to vote such set of people to rule come 2014? Such set of people are not in the interest of our people.

Did gov okorocha at all call sen. Anyanwu a husband slapper and prostitute? I was at the event the gov only made a general statement. I ddnt see sen. Anyanwu crying over that. If she cried it means she wrongly thought the gov referred to her. Come to think of it why would she think the gov referred to her? ONYE MA AKWA OKWA N’ACHI YA.

The governor only expressed his concern over the worth of some underserving element that parade Imo as politicians. He did not particularize the statement on any individual. Please let’s avoid use of words to heighten tensions in the state.

Sometimes I’m forced to believe ORO is now deranged and daft. I don’t care whether what he said about Sen. Chris is true or not. One thing I’m sure of is that Rochas cannot occupy any political office come 2015 and forever. Whether federal, state or even local government, he cannot smell anyone again. How does he think he’ll get our votes by talking like a mad man? Does it mean he learnt nothing from Ohakim’s mistake? Is he a better person than Chris? Oh, I can’t wait to vote this mad man out…

BUT NOT IN PUBLIC , I AS MUCH AS HE WOULD HAVE HIS SUPPORTERS HAILING AND WAILING WITH HIM….HE STILL WOULD HAVE OFFENDED A LOT MORE PRESENT ON THAT DAY……. BEING A GOVERNOR ISN’T FINAL AND ULTIMATE POWER, BECAUSE YOU SEE IN THIS LIFE /WORLD THAT WE LIVE IN, NO SITUATION AND POSITION IS PERMANENT, OKOROCHA WOULDN’T BE A GOVERNOR FOR EVER SAME AS CHRIS ANYANWU….. Oh please, you lot shd stop the ranting and look at the bigger picture. Focus!!! People ridicule people everyday, what’s the big deal in it. The rich ridicule the poor, those at the top make mockery of their subordinates, what’s so insulting in Gov Rochas’ words. What’s new? And ain’t she a woman in power? Why become all emotional all of a sudden. This is politics, she shd play it. She has chosen to take the hard road (A man’s road), she should face it like a man and stop whinning like a school girl, otherwise she shd go home and be a wife to her husband and mother to her children. Politics is pretty dirty. People say a lot of nasty things to unnerve their counter parts. And so if the cap fits, let her wear it. If it doesn’t fit, why bother?

Politics in Nigeria is for thugs, thieves and never do wells. Can anybody tell me the business address of Rochas before he became governor. Can anybody or Rochas himself provide us with his company’s financial activities of the last 10 years. Rochas is clearly a 419 guy. That statement portrays him as a thug which he truly is.

Folks at http://WWW.247UReports.COM you guys are at it again – sensationalizing issues to get readership. It’s predatory reporting and must stop. Rochas advised Imo people to be careful in choosing their leaders and never at any time call somebody Chris Anyanwu or as the case may be any other woman ASHAWO. Rochas is smarter than that. He asked them not to choose irresponsible characters whether it be women who slap their husbands in the public or those who engage in jumping from one man to another even as married women.

@OGB I am surprised at your summation which seems to insult the intelligence of Imo people. If Rocha as you suggested was merely advising Imo voters why did he not advise against men who have questionable characters. Lets call a spade a spade his showmanship backfired and have lost him female votes and even Men’s votes. No self respecting leader will conduct himself in such a vulgar manner.

Who are the people managing the lady senator? I think they are not doing a good job. Anybody going to party with a mad man should be ready for anything. So, being an emotional wreck in a public gathering is a serious minus. It was a moment to show strenght, fight back or empathize on the foibles of a governor who just gone mad.
This same governor once called some female politicians in Imo state prostitutes. It was’nt his first time of openingly abusing women. It’s so unfortunate for Imo state. The limping governor has become an embarrassment to the state. We are yet to come off his pathetic behaviour at the recent launching of Terror victims rehab. Fund by the FG.
One thing is clear, Okorocha is done with one tenure governorship. Thats why he can afford to add indecorium, abusiveness to his dye in the wool rascality and recklessness. He needs help.

Chris ND Anyanwu. A woman of valour. A woman that has trained and provided satisfying jobs for not less than 30,000 IMO state youths in various aspects of life.
A useless governor that has failed to conduct local govt election but gave us CGC . A governor that sacked the 10,000jobs created by another on the grounds that there are no jobs in IMO state but now created 25,000 jobs for graduates to work as vigilante in their local govt

I will not subscribe to okorocha pouring out undemanded insults to the distinguished senator whose hand works have been conspicuously well known by the entire owerri senatorial zone. Its important to note that the venue of the just concluded oru owerri was built by the distinguished senator Chris Anyanwu. Let us with regard to honesty respect the amiable woman of substance. Anyway let me believed that the senator only might wept because of the disintegrated conditions of our dear state Imo. Cheer up senator you are still a champ.

Its very easy to see why Rochas have no respect for women.he and his group of faggots who parades themselves as rulers in Imo state finds pleasures in the assholes of other men. I pity youths who asks if he mentioned mrs Anyanwu’s name because tomorrow he will still call your own mothers whores and witches. This is Imo state governor that we are talking about here for crying out loud. Has desperation turned him into such uncouth wild dog? He calls our citizens names while welcoming his boko haram brethrens to Imo state with big mosques. His homosexual days are numbered.

This is exactly what we are talking about, bcos our distinguished Senator Chris Anyanwu has declared her interest in running for guber 2015 that’s why ORO suddenly changed his welcome address to an opportunity to insult women this is one of d reasons we the young girls in IMO are fighting the war against gender discrimination, why does ROCHAS seize every slitest opportunity to insult women we are not looking into his homosexual business with Chinedu nwadike and co, he should be more matured and cultured than opening his Hausa dirty mouth like dat on women, he should also bear in mind dat d women are more in number and we are going to use our power as women to give him a protest vote for dehumanizing us.

Anyanwu badmouthed Okorocha in the senate, Okorocha bad mouthed bad women in Owerri festival. But guilty conscience made Anyanwu feel she was the person being badmouthed by Okorocha. For Anyanwu, Okorocha committed a sin for suggesting to register unknown strangers in Imo state. But in European countries, once a stranger goes to live in a new city, the stranger must get registered with city authorities. But Anyanwu would want unknown religious extremists to live together with Imolites. The type of Chris Anyanwus on selfish pursuits grants northerners the capacity to set bad social standards for all of us in Nigeria.

Loud mouthed Governor of Imo State, negative campaign will not work for you at this time. You have the guts to critisize the senator of your state in public. You have been talking about the construction of roads and not talk about job creation which will alleviate poverty and reduce crime rate in your state. Imo State is on the top
list of unemployment in Nigeria. You better start thinking about job creation if you are aspiring to be on that seat again. U do d roads only in d municipality because of your impressionistic approach to governance. The way you are running the affairs of Imo is very upseting to me. Stop insulting womanhood.

Promise and fail governor who turned himself to Mayor of Owerri. You spent nearly 95% of Imo state’s capital expenditure on Owerri in three-and-half years. Bad political calculations.

Chris Anyanwu or any candidate from Owerri may win you even in your own backyard of ancestry, as well as sweep the votes in Owerri zone in 2015, if you decide to contest for reelection.

With uncompleted projects as baits for future votes, you think say you sabi fool people in your home backyard who gave you all their support in 2011.
