The recent Fulani invasion of a sleepy community inside Enugu State has unraveled the already volatile atmosphere in the southeast geopolitical zone. Yesterday’s attack has resulted in one of the leading Biafra agitation groups – Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB] – to began deliberating of a retaliation plot against the ‘so called’ Fulani herdsmen.

According one of the zonal leaders who spoke to 247ureports.com, the leaders of IPOB, he was emphatic that the attack must be retaliated in order to halt further attacks. The zonal leader called for calm and vigilance over what he termed as the new face of Boko Haram in the south east and south south regions. “We will not be fast to retaliate but we will shock them to the marrow”.

The zonal leader pointed to the political leaders and elected officials of the area as having soldout to the cause. “They are too afraid to speak against the evil that these uncircumcised fools are unloading on Igbos”. He called it a “shame and a letdown”.
