Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that the former Senator representing the central senatorial district of Anambra State, Uche Ekwunife, was today disqualified from joining the senatorial race in the re-run election to be conducted on a date yet to be scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC]. The screening committee reached their decision on Wednesday morning.
Uche Ekwunife was reportedly unhappy when the news broke to her of her disqualification. She was said to have raised a rant threatening to take the All Progressive Congress [APC] to court. But the chieftains of the Party were said to have intervened to calm Ekwunife into accepting the decision of the screening committee. She was promised an appointment from the Buhari administration in return for her silence.
