The statement issued by Mr. Peter Obi calling for a ‘truce’ in the on-going debate regarding the dishonest claim to have bequeathed N75 billion and the disingenuous use of even the paltry N9bn left by the immediate past governor of Anambra State is a vainglorious attempt, by an embattled gladiator to assume the role f an arbiter too soon.
Provocatively enough, the call for truce deceitful statement was issued by the same Mr. Valentine Obienyem who pooled the propaganda wool over the eyes of Ndi Anambra while Obi looted Anambra State blind, sharing state resources with unthinkable sections of the Anambra State elite class, while the state toters on the fringes of development.
The Obienyem who authored the latest statement of insult, was the same person who represented Obi in a widely viewed television debate where the evidence was laid bare and the confession came clear that Obi indeed lied to the generality of Anambra State, as we have since shouted from the rooftops.
How can a PARTY in a bad case suddenly become the judge in the eleventh hour?
Our party would like to advise Mr. Peter Obi and all his aides to limit the pain and injury of Anambra State to the stolen funds, wrongful appropriation of the state’s fixed and mobile assets for individuals, distribution of invest able cash for political support on the streets and vestries of churches, frittering state resources through structures not reflected in the structure of government, including posh cars to senators, and finally installing a ‘governor’ Anambra State did not choose, to cover the tracks, a project now failing.
To further play on the intelligence of Ndi Anambra by assuming the moderators roles in a matter in which Obi is clearly in the dock is to say in body language that the intellectual power in Anambra State has become eroded, as Obi tried to achieve by changing the values of the state to the regime of cash politics.
Yet we know for a fact that the contrary s true.
