The attention of Senator Theodore Orji, representing Abia Central Senatorial District in the red chamber of the National Assembly, has been drawn to a malicious and misleading report in one of the national dailies claiming that he was booed last Friday at Mbutuoma, Osisioma Ngwa Local Government during the burial of the late husband of Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, Dr. Rowland Nwaogu.

The said report merely stood truth on the head as Senator Orji was never booed instead he received the highest ovation from the crowd in appreciation of his eventful eight years in office which gave him the appellation “Legacy Governor.”

Senator T.A.Orji who was in company of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and other dignitaries only waved his hands to the appreciative crowd at the point of his arrival and departure from venue of the burial.

Ochendo Global is loved by Abians; no amount of blackmail will stop Abians from loving and appreciating the good works he did in Abia State.

This latest laughable report was part of the media war against the high flying Senator representing Abia Central in the Senate by a particular newspaper owner. The sole aim of planting such false and misleading report, is to tar the image of Senator T.A. Orji. But  they will not succeed.

The question any discerning mind should ask is why no other newspaper in Nigeria which had their reporters at the burial ceremony published the alleged booing? Nigerians now know better!

Senator T.A.Orji after he left venue of the burial ceremony attended three other events in Bende and UMUAHIA South Local Government Areas of the state where he was again warmly received by the people.

Eddy Onuzuruike,
Media Aide to Senator T.A.Orji
