Imo State Union of Elders, UK and Ireland send their congratulations to President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo on their victory in the 2015 General Elections. The Union also appealed to Nigerians to be patient and support President Buhari and his team to make Nigeria great again.

Addressing the media in London, the President of the Union, Elder Adolph Agbasonu said President Buhari’s emergence as the President is a welcome development in Nigeria today and his victory came at a time when the nation was yearning for and is in need of change.

President Muhammadu Buhari, Elder Agbasonu said is a tried, tested, humble and prudent Statesman who is ever ready to lead from the front in any National Assignment and will never as President and Commander-Chief of the Armed Forces toy with the future of Nigeria.

‘That he came back after many years outside the corridors of power to win the 2015 Presidential election goes to show that a golden fish has no hiding place and a seasoned Leader or Statesman like President Muhammadu Buhari can only retire but is never tired’.

As Elders and Statesmen of our great nation Nigeria, we therefore appeal to Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora and especially our young people who the President loves so much to support and work with him to reposition Nigeria for the benefit of every citizen. President Buhari is steadily working to reposition Nigeria, Elder Agbasonu said.
