…As PDP Condemns Reign Of Terror By Amaechi’s APC Government

Two Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Rivers State, Mr Ibima Olunta, PDP Chairman Ward 2 Abonnema and Mr Goodfellow Bobmanuel, a PDP Councillorship Aspirant, ward 2 Abonnema, Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State were on Saturday night, March 14, 2015 shot dead by supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC led by the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Council of the State.

They were shot dead as they sat in front of their house in Abonnema, Ward 2, Akuku-Toru Local Government Area.

Reacting to the sad incident, the Chairman of the PDP, in the State, Bro Felix Obuah while condemning the murder of the PDP chieftains in the area calls for the  arrest and prosecution of the Chairman, Caretaker committee of Akuku-Toru Local Government Council who led APC supporters to commit the act.

Bro Obuah in a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Media, Jerry Needam, draws public attention to the reign of terror against PDP members by the APC government of Governor Rotimi Amaechi in Rivers State.

The PDP accuses the outgoing Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi of using tax payers’ money meant for the development of the State to buy arms for youths ahead of the general elections.

Bro Obuah regretted that governance in the State has collapsed under Amaechi, and all ongoing projects abandoned and money diverted to fun the APC and buy arms for youths.

The PDP Chairman,  Bro Obuah condoles with the families of the deceased and members of the PDP in Abonnema, and urges them to remain calm as the party would ensure that all those behind the dastardly act are fished out and prosecuted.

Signed:
