General Buhari, Gov. Fayemi Visit Recuperating Tinubu-in-London-Home

Abuja based Non Governmental organisation, the Society for Rule of Law in Nigeria (SRLN) has chided the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi for allegedly donating N1.5 billion to the campaign fund of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).

According to a release issued in Abuja today, and signed by the SRLN National Coordinator, Dr Chima Ubeku, "a N1.5bn donation from someone like Fayemi, who left two months salary of workers and deductions for cooperative societies unpaid is in bad faith and should be questioned."

A message from APC NEWS on Wednesday, night had indicated that the Fayemi transferred the N1.5bn from his account in a bank located along Liberation Square,  Accra, Ghana.

It was alleged that the N1.5bn donation was made so as to put Fayemi in a vantage position for ministerial appointment should Buhari wins the February 14 Presidential election.

Reacting, SRLN said "Fayemi must tell Nigerians where he got that huge amount of money from. Is it from what he stole from the Ekiti State treasury?"

Speaking further, Dr Ubeku said; "How can someone who left office with August and September salaries of workers unpaid be making N1.5bn to Buhari's campaign just because he wants to be minister?

"Most importantly, where is the morality in Buhari’s anti-corruption posture when he is funded with stolen fund?

"Fayemi must therefore explain where he got the N1.5bn from."

If this is true, Fayemi should be with EFCC by now. If it is true and Buhari accepts it, Nigerians should understand that the corruption they are shouting of today is child’s play to be compared to what we shall face in the next years to come if APC wins.
    Its a shame.

This is the same people that want to bring about the change, that wants to fight corruption, that will not steal from the Treasury yet receiving Donation of N1.5b from a former Governor that left office not up to two months. tax payers money and workers salary. where did Gmb think that he ( Fayemi) got that kind of money from? Did GMB even bother to ask him where he got that kind of money from knowing fully well the person donating the money just left office. Is GMB going to tell Nigerians that after receiving that kind of money from somebody for his campaign that he will just tell the person: THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY CAMPAIGN with 1.5b withing reciprocating the support? Why are these people fooling themselves? Nigerians should be aware that FAYEMI has invested N1.5b somehow and his is expected to get return for his investment in due time. VOTE WISELY
