The Labour Party has decried the recent spate of terrorist attacks in Northern Nigeria, describing it as the peak of the desperation of a savage gang who have no place in a modern world. Speaking today in Abuja through its National Publicity Secretary, Mrs Ebere Ifendu, the party noted that the sect’s attack, earlier Monday morning in Damaturu, Yobe state was yet another in the many heartless killings of innocent citizens carried out by the deadly group.

The party stated that the group which lays a false claim to the practice of Islam even went as far as desecrating the house of God in last Friday’s killing of worshippers of Allah inside the Kano Central Mosque, Kano state.

The Labour Party condoled with the Governor of Kano state, the Governor of Yobe state and their counterpart in Borno state over the unfortunate deaths of innocent citizens orchestrated by Boko Haram’s barbarism. The party also commiserated with the citizens of the affected states whose family members, friends or relatives were killed in the attacks.

The party assured those behind the heinous acts of the reality and imminence of the day of judgement. It therefore advised the purveyors of terror to search their consciences, repent of their transgressions and seek the true face of Allah who they have been offending by killing the humans He created.
