Two notorious car snatchers whose siege on motorists in Enugu and its environs has been arrested.
Suspects,Ndubuisi Umebulue and Onyebuchi Okoye,37, 32 years old respectively were apprehended by a joint operative of Ogui/Uwani anti-robbery operatives of the Enugu State Police command.
The suspects had allegedly on 17th June, snatched a Toyota Highlander Jeep from a clergy man at Uwani axis of Enugu at gun point.
Police source gave the registration number of the Jeep as JJJ 539 CM, black in colour and trailed it to Osisioma near Aba,Abia state and recovered the vehicle including the robbers.
Items recovered from them include; one Toyota Camry and one other Jeep.
Police Public Relations officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu,DSP, confirmed this in a release issued to newsmen saying, “the Police will not rest on its oars until crime is reduced to the barest minimum.
“The suspects are making useful statements regarding their nefarious activities and will be prosecuted immediately investigation is conclusive.”
