PRESS RELEASE
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone B, frowns at the whole scenario surrounding the recent abduction of the over 200 school Girls in Chibok (Borno State) which led to the politicization of the abduction of Chibok Girls by the good for nothing terror group masquerading as Islamic apologist, when Islam itself is a religion of Peace.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.) of the Organization, Comr. Pedro Obi; it states that, this is not the best of time for us as a people and we must as a matter urgent public importance separate politics from the activities of Boko Haram, if we must make a headway in this fight against these blood suckers.
This is the time for Nigerians of all class to form a concerted Synergy and rally round President Goodluck Jonathan GCFR, and support the Federal Government’s efforts at rescuing the abducted Girls by the Boko Haram insurgence. It should be noted that, no individual can win the fight against terrorism, but terrorists cannot succeed when the people are united to fight. Therefore the time for us to be more united is Now, as Unity remains the key to this struggle.
The entire Nigerian students in South-South and South-East joins all Nigerian Students all over the World, particularly Borno State Students in prayer this trying moment of our existence and call on them to be more united as we fight this deadly monster in our society. We also sympathize with the parents and relations of the victims and demand that the Girls must be brought back in safe condition.
In lieu of this, the organization launched the media hashtag to be used for the campaign to show our disaffection to the politicization of the Chibok Girls abduction and call for our Girls to be brought back.
You can follow the struggle on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #NANSZoneBSaysBringBackOurGirls .
