School Proprietor In Court For Raping Pupil In Abia

A school proprietor, Lemmy Chukwu has been docked before an Ukwa East Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Akwete, Abia State for allegedly raping and defiling a 12 year old primary 5 pupil of his school.

 

Prosecuting counsel, Chris Kpatuma told the court that Chukwu, who runs Levicks international Nursery and Primary School, Ohuru in Ukwa East LGA committed the offence on Thursday,February 20.

 

Sources told 247ureports.com that immediately he realized the implication of his action, the accused went into hiding and only resurfaced when he thought the case had died down but was arrested by the police who placed him on the wanted list.

 

The prosecuting counsel also told the court that Chukwu had on the said date, invited the pupil to his office where he allegedly had canal knowledge of her.

 

Kpatuma pleaded for the accused to be denied bail since it took the police several days to arrest him as Chukwu may jump bail.

 

When the accused pleaded not guilty of the charge, the Presiding Magistrate ordered him to be remanded at Aba Prisons and adjourned to Friday.
