Obiano appoints Obidigwe new SSA on youth Mobilisation

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has appointed Comrade Chinedu Obidigwe as a new Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation as Youth Groups and Student Unions in Anambra state joined to embark on re-orientation and mobilisation exercise aimed at promoting and advancing good image of the state.

Comrade Obidigwe speaking shortly after his appointment with students union groups in Anambra Youths organisations made up of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Anambra state chapter and Anambra Youths Assembly reviewed his plan to stop the numerous fights and destruction going on in parts of the state especially Obosi park in Onitsha and environs and to exhibit characters that would attract investors rather than scar them away.

Obidigwe who was a former Council Boss, Anambra East and Students Union activist advised youths and students to stay away from frivolities and desist from all crimes by pursuing genuine calls and duties in the interest of the state.

He warned against engaging in social vices which he pointed out that most youths are running into as a means of escapism adding that they should be objects of peace and unity rather than de stabilization.

He encourages the youths to engage in attitudinal advocacy and helped in turning around the rush to crime and all kinds of social vices that youths were eager to learn.

He further urged them to be peace advocates and shun to be used to destabilize the system especially now that Governor Willie Obiano is stepping on the strong foundation ย laid by former Governor, Chief Peter Obi.

Obidigwe maintained that youth empowerment is dear to the new administration of Governor Obiano in other to continue from where Chief Obi stopped adding that what he needed to excel for the benefits of the youths is the peace initiatives of the youths and not war and violence posture.
