The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have continued to receive bashing from Nigerians over the party’s Saturday convention that led to a walkout by 7 state governors. This is as the chapter from Jigawa condemned what they described as ‘undemocratic show of shame’ that took place at the Eagle Square in Abuja.

One of its members, the Jigawa state chairman of the party Alhaji Salisu Mahmuda told 247ureports.com that they would not allow some few people to take charge of what they have sweated for.

Mamuda, in an exclusive interview with journalist in Ringim during a primary exercise in Ringim town for the replacement of deputy speaker seat who lost his life as a result of ghastly accident last month along kano – hadejia road – stated that “We would not fold our arms to be intimidated even as the PDP political platform is not a must on all, however, it should be noted
that it is a platform of attaining power
“.

PDP is like an ocean in the country’s polity and only an adept swimmer can survive its daring tides or be consumed in its confusion. PDP is not a military formation and we should not be treated as such way and that was why we walked out of the special convention as a result of the glaring irregularities being perpetuated there. I can categorically tell you that the PDP has metamorphosed into two faction group, the old and the new but we in the new PDP are here to
effect change within the party
“.
