The chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC in Anambra, Chief Chuks Chinwuba has cautioned those he accused of disparaging the party in public and creating a situation of phantom crisis to guard their mouths and watch their steps.
According to him, “I am appalled that people who claim to be members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) can go to the media to seek to disparage the party in the state even when the whole nation has applauded the peaceful manner with which APC in the state conducted its primaries especially ahead of the governorship election in the state.

“I must express my surprise that the entire content of the said publication.

My I also add that a cursory view or look of the characters behind the purported publication will show that they are impostors. None of these persons are leaders of the defunct political parties that merged to be APC in the state.

For instance, Pastor CC Nnoli and George Onyechi claim to ANPP and CPC chairmen respectively, but it is common knowledge in Anambra here that Chief Pat Ojiakor was the defunct chairman of ANPP while Mr Chuba Ikeagwu was the defunct chairman of CPC. So these men never featured in the party at any time.”

He described APC In Anambra state as one indivisible party with Sen. Chris Ngige as its sole governorship candidate for the Nov 16 election in the state.

“We don’t have one and half candidate neither do we have one and half chairman of APC.

For purposes of clarity, our congresses were held on the instruction of the national leadership of our party.’The party made a schedule beginning from the ward congresses on Aug. 28, local government area congresses on Aug. 30 to state congresses on Aug. 31”

Chinwuba noted that the state congresses were held at Suncity Hotel, Awka and were duly monitored by the relevant authorities and duly conducted where I and other executives were duly elected. And that the details and the officers have since been documented and communicated to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

He said he was not imposing himself on the party, “I am the authentic chairman of APC in Anambra state. Since my election, I have been representing APC in all meetings. I therefore take exception to anybody saying that I am parading myself as chairman. I am not. I am acting in full capacity as chairman of the party for change.

“I use this medium to warn some of those characters that parading themselves as chairmen of defunct parties that merged into APC. We don’t condone indiscipline.

These characters some time ago purported that APC never merged in the state. They may tomorrow come out to say we don’t have a governorship candidate for the Nov. 16 election.

“The merging parties are defunct and have no force of law again neither are they recognized as political parties again by law in this country.

I call on our teeming party faithful to disregards those publications as they do not worth the piece of paper they are written. There is no feud in our party.”, the chairman emphasized.
