President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday approved the composition and appointments of the chairmen and members of governing councils and boards of 67 Federal Government agencies.
A statement by Secretary to the Government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim said the dates for the formal inauguration of the councils and boards will be announced in due course by the ministers or relevant supervising authorities.
Anyim stated that council and board shall include the ex-0fficio membership specified in the enabling law of the parastatals and agencies. National Boundary Commission has Dr. Yunusa Adamu Dangwani as chairman with Hajiya Mamma Ibrahim Hassan Lau, Abe Joseph Aku, Chief Adebowale Atanda Niyi Salako, Chief Ndidi Okereke and Anselem Igo-Goin as members.
Nigerian Shippers Council has General Salihu Ibrahim as Chairman, Alhaji Sani Dauda, Alhaji Bala Buhari, and Hon. Paul Anikwe as members, while the National Youth Service Corps has Chief Gordon Bozimo as Chairman, Mr. Domnic G. Yahaya, Prof. Stella Attoe and Nnamdi Anyaechie as members.
Patrick Ogbu emerged chairman of Nigerian Television Authority with Bashir Samaila Ahmed, Daniel Bwala, Ahmed M. Agina, Dele Fagoriola, Mrs. Rose Okoronkwo and Engr. Billy Etuk as members. Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Sen. Walid Jibrin as Chairman. National Lottery Regulation Commission has Mr. Damian Dodo as chairman, Mohammed Saleh Annur, Alh.
