· Rejoinder to 421 ACN members decamp to APGA
The report entitled 421 ACN members decamp to APGA in Onitsha as posted in 247ureports.com is not worth responding to on its face value.
But we understand that not every member of the public is equipped with the basis tools to discern an unrehearsed and unguided propaganda tablet from the last vestiges of a dying PDP surrogate in APGA.
Therefore we will not allow the people of Onitsha South, already suffering because Gov Obi and Ugochuckwu Ezeani are stealing their money, Anambra State and the general public the risk of being misinformed.
That the so-called Ugochukwu Ezeani who enjoys a stolen mandate of the people of Onitsha South, by perpetually being a Trasition Local Government Chairman with his appointee Gv Obi, who gives him only five percent of the money due to Onitsha is was said to have received 421 members from our party ,in proxy , acting on behalf of Gov. Peter Obi is conclusive for three reasons :
1- No serious political party will allow such a number to be received without visible officials of their party ,as it would mean that the officials do not exist or the ‘new members’ are not welcome.
2- The last we checked Gov Peter Obi who rigged elections to occupy the governors seat in 2010 is not the leader of any registered political party in Nigeria. Instead he is the head of a PDP-inspired rebellion in APGA which needed a forgery to hold on illegal assembly in Awka recently in the guise of a convention.
3- No sane Nigeria, no less Igbo man will leave an Ozo title ceremony where everything present and hoped for exists to a desert camp of insurgents, where the future is bleak.
For the third reason above, we are not surprised that the report did not mention one single name or one single ward where the decampees came from and which party official witnessed such a supposedly grand occasion.
We are therefore convinced as most discerning members of the public are , that this amateur propaganda is meant to lean on the name of a credible platform to give fillip to a dying tendency in APGA who have technically lost the battle for the soul of their platform..
We therefore urge our party members to continue their current quiet build-up and consolidate on the gains they have made so far with mass decamping of 97 innocent APGA members caught in a cross-fire they know nothing about, along with other party members coming to ACN which the dissidents in APGA twisted in the media.
Elections are won on the ground, not on the pages of newspapers a. Similarly those who win elections properly and work diligently are popular at home and not on the pages of newspapers like Governor Obi, when his ground are leaking.
We take this chance to warn Chief Ezeani that ACN is aware and is taking steps to protect the rights of Onitsha South people on the fertilizer fraud being perpetrated by his council, an affair we will return to any moment from now.
Finally, we urge Chief Ezeani and all followers of Gov Obi in APGA to rethink their deliberate role as agents of destabilisation in their party and create peace within their fold as APC to which our party is dissolving along with all progressive members if APGA (APGA -APGA) will certainly carry the day in elections conducted in Onitsha South and in Anambra State
