Our Great party is pleased to announce the safe and hearty return of Hon Emeka Anaebonam.Hon Anaebonam was abducted by three gun men suspected to be kidnappers in his Onitsha Clinic on Monday March 18, 2013.
He has however returned to join his family. Our Party thanks all our numerous supporters and the long list of sympathisers who have called our secretariat to express concern and offer advice, prayers and encouragement. We specially thank the clergy and the churches for their fervent prayers and pray that God will reward them in many folds.
Hon Anaebonam is currently taking a deserved rest away from public glare and shall be joining his colleagues in the House of Assembly upon resumption of the House plenary sessions.
Our great party is however worried about the health and safety of our National Vice Chairman and First Deputy Governor of Anambra State Dr Chukwudi Nwike, who was also kidnapped around the same time as there is currently no clue to suggest that he is about to be released.
We enjoin the Security Agencies to pay more attention to the case of Dr Nwike on self-recognition, and pray that we shall soon have cause to also celebrate his return, even as we feel the neglect of the government of the day in Anambra.
We trust that a day lies ahead in the near future when we could, as a state put the rampant incidence of kidnapping behind us in lawful context. ACN is prepared to show that way.
We have received the resignation letter of Mr Angus Aniebonam, dated April 4, 2013. Until his resignation, Mr Aniebonam was the Deputy Chairman of our chapter. The development has been listed in the next executive meeting of the chapter.
Our party also seizes this opportunity to welcome our new stakeholders, numbering 55, led by Chief Ndu Agbasi, a business tycoon who declared for the party yesterday in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area.
On behalf of the State Chairman of our party, Chief Amaechi Obidike, we assure the new members that their priority is well-placed.
