Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria on their victory at the Nations Cup Football competition hosted by South Africa.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Peter Okhiria, Comrade Oshiomhole said “the victory of the Eagles is a reflection of the can-do spirit which makes Nigerians stands out anywhere in the World”.
According to him, “Nigerians were united, in prayers, for the success of the Super Eagles throughout the competition and we should build on this victory to dwell on what unites us as a people rather than on what divides us.
“The Super Eagles have demonstrated that with team work, working closely together, we can lift our nation to an enviable level in the comity of nations.
“I congratulate the Super Eagles and their team of coaches for making Nigerians proud and giving us all something to rejoice about.”
