As part of the Anambra State Government post-disaster resettlement programme,  fifty-seven (57) flood-affected communities in the Ayamelum, Ogbaru, Anambra East, Anambra West, Awka North, Idemilli South, Ekwusigo, and Ihiala local government areas received one million naira each for procurement of cassava stems and yam seedlings. The second round of relief and fund distribution to communities will take place in mid-January 2013.
