A two story building under construction early this morning in Abuja
collapsed killing four people and injured ten others. The building
which collapsed at about 3.00am was located at Dutse Power Line, near
Living Faith Church. Rescue operation was in progress as at time of
this story as many people were trapped in the building . Officials of
NEMA, Fire Fighters and Civil Defense Corps and FRSC arrived the scene
of the incident around 7.00am which made the victims suffocated death
as help could not reach them .Over ten people believed to be workers
and Okada Riders who used the building as shelter were rescued alive
from the rubbles of the building .
It took timely intervention of a Dantata and Sawoe ,a construction
company who mobilized their excavators and bulldozers to the scene of
the incident to rescue the victims . According to an eye witness who
craved anonymity said that all of the victims would have been rescued
alive if the rescued team arrived on time.
