If the news making the rounds is anything to go by, Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has concluded plans to impoverish Deltans by a slash in workers’ salaries by 35 per cent.

In a meeting anchored by the Commissioner of Finance, Olorogun David Edevbie, the state government had summoned heads of tertiary institutions for a meeting recently in Asaba, the capital of the State.

While speaking with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Victor Peretomode of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, and other representatives of institutions in the State present at the meeting, Edevbie let the cat out of the bag that the state government has already concluded plans to reduce the salary of workers by 35%.

It was gathered by 247ureports.com that the state government would begin the reduction of workers’ salaries with DELSU and Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro.
