The National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is presently swimming in staff casualisation with the aggrieved staff alleging the involving of the national chairman of the party John Odegie-Oyegun, the national Secretary, Mai Mala Buni among the brains behind the deal.

It will be recalled that one of the campaign promises of APC during the last general election was to piriotise the welfare of Nigerian workers.
The staff said that about 80 percent of people working with the ruling party were not given appointment letters to know their conditions of services based on the instructions of some members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC.
Some of the aggrieved staff who spoke with a group of journalists under the condition of annonimity yesterday in Abuja, were also full of happiness on the speculation that the APC national chairman may not return back to his office as the party chairman.
They revealed that since oyegun and Buni emerged chairman and secretary of the party, most of the benefits they ought to be getting were stop.
“It has gotten to a stage where we can no longer keep quiet because 80 percent of us working wuth APC don’t have appointment letters, that automatically interprete us as casual staff.
“Before the magger came to reality we have been following them. And all of us from various political parties (ACN, ANPP and CPC) were doing voluntary work for about six months before Baba Bisi Akande, who was the acting chairman then, as we were preparing for convention that produced Oyegun, approved monthly salary for us but since Oyegun emerged as chairman, our welfare has gone from bad to worse.
“Around November last year, we were asked to submit another application letters and they conducted interview for us but they have refused to act on it since them. We are working without appointment letters. We don’t even know our entitlements.
“But to our surprises, when they bring their our people they give them appointment letter. Of recent, they employed one assistant director of media and he was given appointment letter. Why is our own different?” they lamented.
Non of the party official were ready to speak on the allegations, as some of the NWC members contacted decline comments.
